A Note on Book Reviews
Welcome, kindred spirits! I'm so glad you've found your way to this little corner of the internet.
This blog is first and foremost a place of recommendation — a cozy front porch where I share the books I love most and hope you'll love too. Think The Penderwicks, The Vanderbeekers, or A Place to Hang the Moon — stories with a classic soul, even if the ink is still fresh.
My heart is especially for homeschoolers and readers of the classics, which means I'm always on the lookout for books that feel like old friends: wholesome, beautifully written, and worthy of a spot in your book basket.
Because I recommend rather than simply review, I do reserve the right to decline books that aren't a good fit for this space. Specifically, I only feature books that align with a Christian worldview. Books involving the paranormal, occult themes, or content I wouldn't feel comfortable passing along to my own family will gently be set aside — no hard feelings, just honest curation.
If you're a publisher or author wondering whether your book might be a good fit, I'd encourage you to spend a little time on the front porch first. If your story has the heart of a classic, a gentle and hopeful spirit, and would find a happy home in a homeschool family's morning time basket — I'd love to hear from you!
Thank you so much for understanding, and for the kindness and care so many of you put into the stories you create. 🌿
