A Note on Book Reviews

This blog is first and foremost a place of recommendation — a cozy front porch for homeschoolers and readers of the classics. I'm always looking for books with a classic soul: wholesome, beautifully written, and worthy of a spot in your morning basket or cuddled up for a read-aloud in a cozy chair. Think The Penderwicks, The Vanderbeekers, or A Place to Hang the Moon.

Because I recommend rather than simply review, I reserve the right to decline books that aren't a good fit for this space.  I am also a very sensitive reader, so I'm not the best person for books with dark or edgy elements. If you send me a book to review, I cannot guarantee that I will feature it on my blog. 

But if your book has the heart of a classic and a gentle, hopeful spirit, I'd love to hear from you!
